The Internet continues to revolutionize how we manage and disseminate information, simultaneously solving problems and creating challenges. New technologies ranging from social networking services to peta-scale grid computing have found novel applications in knowledge management, online collaboration, and outreach to clients across the groundwater industry. This session includes papers on: • Research topics in this field as well as case studies • Recent developments in and novel uses of cyberinfrastructure in hydrology and water resources management, including Web 2.0, knowledge management, cybercollaboratories, and tools for social networking.
