Call for Abstracts

2013 NGWA Summit — The National and International Conference on Groundwater


San Antonio, Texas • April 28, 2013 - May 2, 2013

Groundwater is a resource to be protected. It ignores political boundaries, transports contaminants, floods mine and construction sites, spins communities into an uproar, and can�t be found when you need it. Model, explore, characterize, bank, inject, extract, treat, and predict all your subsurface needs with everything groundwater at the 2013 NGWA Summit.

The original call for abstracts ended; however, you still have a chance to participate in this valuable and exciting event. NGWA is offering an opportunity to submit abstracts that address a broader range of topics in a new category called Anything Groundwater. Word limits are 15 words or less for titles and 300 words or less for abstracts. Abstracts must be submitted in sentence form and without bullet points by


Steps and Instructions:

  1. 1. Title

    • Abstract Title
      • Titles must be 15 words or less.
      • Only the first letter in each word must be capitalized.
    • Submitter's E-mail
      • A valid and frequently checked e-mail is required since this is a primary source of communication.
      • Acceptance notices and other important information will be e-mailed to the submitter.
    • Select a Preferred Presentation Format
      • Platform — considered for platform presentation ONLY.
      • Poster — considered for poster presentation ONLY.
      • Either format is acceptable.
  2. 2. People

    • Enter author information, including a biographical sketch (100 words or less).
  3. 3. Abstract Text

    • Abstract must be 300 words or less.
    • Abstract must be written in complete sentences with no bullet points.
  4. 4. Confirmation

    • Submitter will receive an automatic e-mail confirming that the abstract was submitted to the program.
  5. General Instructions

    • Submitters will be automatically e-mailed a unique ID number and password.
    • Abstracts may be viewed and modified at any time between submission and the deadline, using the assigned ID number and password.
