Groundwater may be the sole source of a public water supply system or it may be used in conjunction with surface water supplies. Groundwater-based public systems run the gamut in terms of size, resources, and personnel. This session addresses overall operation and maintenance issues, water systems operator deployment and training, system components and unique benefits of groundwater-based systems, including establishing positive working relationships between and among systems managers, water systems operators, contractors, and consulting professionals.
