Getting the Most Out of Your Professional Designation

You’ve invested time, money, and experience into earning and maintaining your professional designation, whether it be a CWD, CPI, MGWC, CGWP, or CSP. Your designation can be used as a marketing tool to new customers, a way to garner recognition for personal achievement, and a mechanism to build and enhance relationships with a new or existing peer group.  This workshop will provide tips on how to get the most from your professional designation and increase your personal satisfaction as well.

Jessica Rhoads

Jessica Rhoads is the NGWA industry practices administrator. In her third year with the Association, Rhoads coordinates the development of industry standards and best suggested practices, as well as the NGWA Voluntary Certification Program. Prior to joining NGWA, she was an intern with the Ohio Geological Survey at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Rhoads earned a B.A. in professional geology from Ohio Wesleyan University, where she was awarded the Robert E. Shanklin Distinguished Scholar Award in Geology. In addition, she is a member of the Society of Sigma Gamma Epsilon, national honor society for the Earth sciences, and the Ohio Society of Association Executives.
Gary L. Hix, CWD/PI, RG, CPG

Gary Hix is a water well consultant and owner of In2Wells LLC. He worked mostly as an Arizona water well drilling and pump contractor from 1986 to 2007. He authored more than 50 articles on subjects related to well drilling and pump installations. Hix is an instructor on topics related to water wells and well drilling methods on the staff for Hogan School of Real Estate and the Bureau of Land Management. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Arizona, and a Master of Arts in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.

Bimal Mukhopadhyay, PhD, CPG, CGWP: Retired February, 2014 from the practice of geochemistry, geology and contaminant transport in groundwater after 40 years of services to the industry and the US Government, dealing with natural sciences technology R&D and academia; critical program development, direction and execution in the areas of environmental remediation of contaminated sites especially due to nuclear wastes; and, exploration and exploitation of natural resources (hydrocarbons and minerals such as radioactive, base- and precious metals).
