Conference Manuscript Guidelines

What is the purpose of a manuscript? Your manuscript is a tool to describe, in detail, the research summarized in your abstract. It is important to stay true to the intent and purpose of your abstract as you prepare your manuscript. Remember: the manuscript is not an advertisement for you or your company.

  1. The maximum page limit is 15 pages, inclusive of charts and diagrams.

  2. The manuscript must be submitted electronically. The font is Times New Roman, 12 point, and single space. The manuscript you submit is the exact copy that will appear in the proceedings. Indent and put one line between paragraphs. Check your manuscript carefully for appearance and errors. Please include biographical sketches and full address for each author. Biographical sketches go at the end of the manuscript, after the references.

  3. The first page of your manuscript must include the following information:
    • Title of manuscript,
    • Names of contributing authors and their respective company affiliations (lead author listed first), and
    • Your abstract.

  4. Manuscripts must be submitted in electronic format (disk, zip disk, or E-mail).
    • PDFs are preferred.
    • Margins should be 1-inch top, bottom, and right side and 1 ¼-inch left margin.
    • Text should be single-spaced, 12-point size, Times New Roman font, with no pagination, no footers and no headers.
    • Major headings should be 12-point and bolded; minor headings 12-point and italicized (unbolded); references are in 12 point.
    • There should be 1 blank line above and below all headings, except above major headings which should have 2 blank lines.
    • All paragraphs should be justified.
    • References should be in 12-point in the following general format (separated by commas); authors, year, and title (italicized): Publisher, volume, issue, pages.

  5. Any charts, graphs, or graphics included must be saved/embedded as Microsoft Charts/Graphs, Windows BitMap (.BMP), or JPEG (.JPG) graphics format. We cannot support CAD or electronic postscript (EPS) formats. Graphics done in these programs appear blank.

  6. Do not insert page numbers on your manuscript

  7. The name and/or logo of your company must not appear on the manuscript or in any diagrams, except as the author’s company affiliation.
