Estimation of Recharge to Assess Ground Water Availability
Increased demands on water resources by a growing population and recent droughts have raised awareness about the adequacy of water supplies throughout the United States. Quantifying ground water recharge is essential in understanding water availability, but the task is difficult because recharge rates are highly variable in space and time. This session will explore the latest methods and studies to estimate ground water recharge, at scales ranging from site to regional, and in hydrologic environments ranging from arid to humid.
