2007 Ground Water Summit

Wednesday, May 2, 2007: 8:00 a.m.-9:20 a.m.
Ruidoso (Albuquerque Convention Center)
Hydrology of Karst and Fractured Aquifer
Presentation will center on two hydrogeologic studies and models prepared in support of limestone quarries. The studies included remapping of published geology, installation of well nests, geophysical logging of wells, continuous monitoring of 30+ monitoring wells and private-use wells, stream flow monitoring, and manual monitoring of 30+ wells. The studies also included extensive water budget characterization, including quantification of baseflow and regional component of an aquifer.
