Managing Surface-Spreading Recharge Facilities: Case Studies

This session focuses on the issues and constraints associated with managing operating surface-spreading recharge facilities and how these issues were effectively addressed. The emphasis is on the practical lessons learned. Submitted abstracts can include those relating to topics such as the coupling of recharge and recovery for water supply; aquifer augmentation and water banking; mound management; rehabilitating basin infiltration rates; mitigating the effects of shallow perched water on infiltration efficiencies; source-water quality concerns and how they were addressed; mitigating off-site impacts; and similar facility management concerns.
