This presentation will provide an overview of a new NGWA Best Suggested Practice on Aquifer Storage and Recovery. NGWA adopted a definition of best practices are “those practices that have been shown to produce superior results; selected by a systematic process; and judged as exemplary, good, or successfully demonstrated.” NGWA has developed and applies a consensus approach to adapt a practice to create suggestions that may fit the needs of the ground water professions, and these are called best suggested practices or BSPs. NGWA worked with a group of members to develop a BSP for aquifer storage and recovery (ASR). The BSP process and ASR BSP will be presented in detail.
