Balancing Water Use, Pricing and Ecosystem

San Antonio, Texas, has sought to reduce water waste for a number of years for water supply reasons and to protect habitat for endangered species that live in the springs supplied by the Edwards Aquifer.  The San Antonio Water System’s (SAWS) award winning Conservation Program in recent years has also evaluated the cost of its implementation with the cost of acquiring other sources of water.  The presentation will address the balancing of water pricing, use and ecosystem needs.
