Deep Groundwater Investigations

Monday, May 2, 2011: 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
Annapolis/Baltimore (Hyatt Regency Baltimore on the Inner Harbor)
The demand for additional freshwater supply in many areas, including the east coast of the United States is resulting in increased attention to deep bedrock aquifers.  Many higher population areas have investigated potential deeper supplies of groundwater  as finding and characterizing additional sources of freshwater has become more challenging.  Low yields and unsatisfactory water quality issues will present technical challenges to all groundwater professionals in the coming decades.
