Panel: Implementation of National Ground Water Monitoring Network—Integration of Data to Support Research, Planning, Management, and Development of Groundwater Supplies

This panel will address: What is the network and how the data can be used such as “ground-truthing” the findings of “GRACE – Gravity Sensing of Groundwater volume changes”, supporting implementation of the SECURE Water Act initiatives, and providing data needed for water planning initiatives. State pilot projects – what was learned. What has changed in the revised framework document. Data management--implementing the sharing of the data through the interface and how to download data from the network. What's next--planning for the next phase of implementation including addition of USGS data, recruiting new participants, and the potential for funding. At the conclusion of the session the panel will also participate in an open discussion with the audience on groundwater monitoring networks.
