Raj ShekharI Singh completed his undergraduate degree in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur in 2009 and joined the Ph.D. program at the University of California, Berkeley. His interests are in the field of groundwater modeling at high resolution using Land Surface Models with the help of data assimilation. Singh believes this method can help us model groundwater without the need for any extensive monitoring networks. This will help us manage groundwater more scientifically in areas highly dependent on these precious resources.
