Joginder Singh earned his Ph.D. (Agricultural Economics) from Punjab Agricultural University in 1973 and served there for 32 years. Afterwards he became Director of the Centre for Agricultural Research & Rural Development in Ludhiana (an NGO) and carries out socio-economic surveys on various crop prospects and resource management and conservation aspects in agriculture.
