2015 NGWA Groundwater Summit

San Antonio, Texas March 16-18, 2015

Call for Abstracts

Groundwater is a resource to be protected. It ignores political boundaries, transports contaminants, floods mine and construction sites, spins communities into an uproar, and can’t be found when you need it. Model, explore, characterize, bank, inject, extract, treat, and predict all your subsurface needs with everything groundwater at the 2015 NGWA Groundwater Summit.

NGWA seeks abstracts on any topic related to groundwater science and practice. Submissions may address either broad or niche areas; research projects or case studies; management and policy challenges; and local to transboundary groundwater issues.

Sessions on these specific topics are already planned:

  • Brine and Deep Aquifers
  • Geophysical and Remote Sensing Techniques
  • Groundwater and Energy
  • Groundwater Remediation
  • Karst Hydrology

Biologists, microbiologists, chemists, and toxicologists are encouraged to offer submissions on their research and practice that include any aspect of groundwater. Abstracts addressing practical application and cutting edge research are welcome on these topics as well:

  • Fractured Rock Hydrogeology
  • Freshwater/Saltwater Interactions
  • Groundwater and Mining
  • Groundwater Contamination and Water Quality
  • Groundwater Ecology
  • Groundwater in Texas, Oklahoma, and other Southwestern States
  • Geochemistry, Isotopes, and Tracers
  • Groundwater Management
  • Groundwater Modeling
  • Groundwater/Surface-Water Interaction
  • Legal/Socioeconomic Issues in Groundwater
  • Managed Aquifer Recharge
