Mary C. Hill

U.S. Geological Survey
Professor Hill earned her Ph.D. at Princeton University. She is now a professor in the Geology Department of the University of Kansas following a 33-year career at the U.S. Geological Survey. She started in the USGS at the New Jersey Water science center in 1981 and was in the National Research Program in Colorado from 1987 to 2014. Her research examines how to integrate different types of field data into numerical models of groundwater and other hydrologic systems, how this affects measures of uncertainty and risk, and how models can be developed to provide results most relevant to public policy.
