Panel: What Lies Beneath: Preventing Groundwater Challenges From Exerting Havoc on Your Projects
102 B (Music City Center)
Professional engineers and professional groundwater contractors each have their realm of expertise. However, when working together on large-scale construction projects and/or projects with pump failures there can be frustration for the professionals working on-site and irritation for the clients. In many instances, greater awareness of the potential challenges groundwater can present at various stages of a project could have prevented any time delays or additional expenditures. Engineers usually operate in the visible realm, but groundwater is unseen. Properly addressing this vital natural resource through critical thinking will ensure more seamless project progress, well-satisfied clients, and enhanced professional reputation.
