Repair a Hand Pump—Save a Life - Workshop, 1 CEP
There are thousands upon thousands of water wells in developing countries not being used because of hand pumps needing repair. The needed repairs are simply a matter of normal maintenance and can be done quickly and cheaply. This represents a tremendous opportunity for volunteers and residents of developing countries to have a quick, positive, and tangible impact in areas of dire need. This session will include identifying the most common types of hand pumps and applying the basics of troubleshooting and repair. Ease of training, cost effectiveness, and opportunities will also be presented.
