Darcy Lecture: Getting the Information Ground Water Modelers Need: A Report from the Field - Workshop, 1 CEP
"Getting the Information Ground Water Modelers Need: A Report from the Field" is a methods-based presentation focusing on new technology for acquiring information about hydraulic conductivity at scales of relevance for investigations of ground water contamination. Better information on hydraulic conductivity improves both the accuracy of contaminant-transport predictions and the effectiveness of remediation systems. The lecture will describe the major elements of this new technology and present a demonstration of its potential using results from an extensively studied unconsolidated aquifer.
