Become better informed—from the perspectives of both drilling contractors and consultants—about some of the more-common issues that arise in the construction of water-supply wells. Often at the center of the issues is the well specification regarding bidding, construction, and change-orders due to unexpected conditions. This discussion panel seeks to create a better understanding of the challenges and expectations of all the parties involved, and work toward developing "best practices" for writing well specifications that will provide competitive bids for the well owner, be fair to the water well contractor, and reduce conflict that may occur during well construction.
