In this workshop, you will learn of the methods recommended in the Best Suggested Practices for Residential Well Cleaning document being developed by NGWA. The chemistry and biology of the suggested well cleaning practices will be addressed to help you utilize the recommended technology, as well as be able to discuss the cleaning methods with your clients. The importance of well sanitation and the specific role it plays in well capacity loss and water quality deterioration will also be discussed. The uses of bacterial testing and anaerobic bacterial determination will be covered so this method of diagnosis of well problems and sanitation can be utilized and explained to the well owner.
