The National Ground Water Association is seeking submissions for its professional development offerings at the 2015 NGWA Groundwater Expo. We welcome proposals from those who wish to actively engage their audience while elevating the skills, competencies, and professional practice of those in the groundwater industry.

Please share your proposal for a workshop, activity, panel, poster, or technical session abstract by the stated deadline by clicking here.

Technical Session(s) — Deadline: June 7, 2015

Advances in Groundwater Science and Practice
This broadly focused session will provide a forum for exchange of information on the wide spectrum of technical advances and lessons learned in the science and practice of groundwater hydrology. Abstracts can range from research projects to case studies to management and policy challenges.

-Shlomo P. Neuman will be the keynote speaker at the Advances in Groundwater Science and Practice technical session. The title of his presentation is “Can Flow and Transport in Heterogeneous Media be Resolved Using Traditional Approaches? I Think Not"

Water Quality Issues in Stressed Aquifers
Water availability is a high priority across the country as competition for water becomes more intense with aquifers stressed by human and climatic factors. Water quality is often an important consideration in addressing water availability in stressed aquifers. This technical session solicits abstracts on any aspect related to water quality in stressed aquifers, including saltwater intrusion, agricultural chemicals, mobilization of trace elements and other naturally-occurring substances, contamination from land-surface activities, effects of interactions with surface water, effects of energy development, and water-quality issues associated with managed aquifer recharge.

Pozos Profundos en Latinoamérica (Deep Water Wells in Latin America)
