2019 NGWA Conference on Fractured Rock and Groundwater

Abstracts for the 2019 NGWA Conference on Groundwater and Fractured Rock are being sought on any aspect of fractured rock hydrogeology (water quantity and quality), including those addressing the following topics:

  • Elements of Effective Conceptual Site Models
  • Learning from Mistakes
  • Innovative/Cost-Effective Contaminant Assessment Strategies in Fractured Rock
  • Geophysical Tools and Techniques for Proper Characterization (Temperature, Tracers, Hydrological Tests, Scaling, etc.)
  • Integration of Data Across Boreholes
  • Integration and Synthesis of Data at Different Scales of Investigation
  • Innovative/Cost-Effective Remedial Technologies and Strategies in Fractured Rock
  • Alternative Remediation Targets (e.g., mass flux)
  • Lessons Learned from Related Industries (Mining, Oil and Gas, Geotechnical Engineering, etc.)

Abstracts must be submitted in sentence form and without bullet points by Wednesday, February 27, 2019.

Titles should be limited to 100 characters or less and abstracts should be limited to 200 words or less.

    You will have a chance to look over the submission to make sure all is complete.
  5. General Instructions

    No names or titles should be included in the abstract text. Names will be automatically hidden during the abstract review process and will be automatically inserted and properly formatted upon publication.

    Presenting authors will be automatically informed of the unique ID numbers and passwords assigned to their abstracts. Abstracts may be viewed and modified at any time between submission and the deadline, using the assigned ID# and password.
