John Farner

John Farner is the government affairs director for the Irrigation Association. He directs the government affairs programs and personally serves as the IA’s chief liaison to Congress and the Executive Branch, focusing on issues relating to agricultural and turf/landscape irrigation. Prior to joining the IA, John served as legislative staff for two members of Congress, director of legislative relations for the American Nursery and Landscape Association, political director for the American Academy of Dermatology and special assistant to the United States Secretary of Commerce, where he served as Assistant Director of the Secretary’s Office of Business Liaison.
