John Sciacca is a licensed Professional Geologist with over 30 years experience. He holds an M.S. in Geology from the University of California, Davis and is a principal hydrogeologist for AECOM in northern Nevada. Mr. Sciacca previously served as the Director of the Nevada Water Science Center for the U.S. Geological Survey. He currently provides technical consulting and oversight for hydrologic and hydrogeologic investigations and data collection for water resources and environmental applications.
Mr. Sciacca’s experience with borehole geophysical logging began 30 years ago. Throughout his professional career John has successfully designed borehole geophysical logging programs and applied log interpretation to design and complete production and injection wells, conduct hydrostratigraphic analysis in depositional basins, map aquifer units, and evaluate aquifer and formation parameters. Mr. Sciacca has provided consulting services for the workover/rehabilitation and abandonment of municipal and private domestic water production wells. He has also conducted workshops on geophysical log quality control and presented papers on log quality and log interpretation for hydrogeologic applications.
