Dr. Schnaar specializes in contaminant transport evaluation, environmental chemistry, field sampling, numerical groundwater and vadose zone modeling, watershed-scale hydrologic studies, and geologic sequestration of carbon dioxide. He has served as an expert technical consultant to the U.S. EPA Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water and is an Associate Editor for the peer-reviewed journal Groundwater. Dr. Schnaar received his Ph.D. in Soil, Water, and Environmental Science from the University of Arizona and his B.S. in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Maryland. He is a Certified Professional Geologist in Virginia.
