NGWA Water, Energy, and Policy in a Changing Climate

Providing adequate food and drinking-water supplies in the 21st century will depend on increasingly stressed groundwater resources. Fourth  biennial National Ground Water Association (NGWA) event on Southwest water issues is intended to provide a broad forum to bring together water professionals from the private and public sectors to share experiences and lessons learned in protecting and managing groundwater and its connection to surface water in the Southwest U.S. Abstracts are solicited on all aspects of the connectivity of water, energy, and policy and its relation to climate change.

The event is being designed to integrate platform presentations with discussion sessions for maximum attendee interaction and benefit.

  • Improved Coordination of Data Collection and Management
  • Management of Produced Waters and Salinity Issues

Abstracts are due through NGWA's electronic systems by 11:59 p.m. PT on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 and must be submitted in sentence form and without bullet points on our website.

Titles should be limited to 100 characters or less and abstracts should be limited to 200 words or less.

    Enter author name, affiliation, and contact information.
  3. Enter Abstract Text

    You will be able to copy/paste your abstract into a text box.
  4. Confirmation

    You will have a chance to look over the submission to make sure all is complete.
  5. General Instructions

    No names or titles should be included in the abstract text. Names will be automatically hidden during the abstract review process and will be automatically inserted and properly formatted upon publication.

    Presenting authors will be automatically informed of the unique ID numbers and passwords assigned to their abstracts. Abstracts may be viewed and modified at any time between submission and the deadline, using the assigned ID# and password.
