Thursday, December 10, 2009: 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
208 (Morial Convention Center)
Discover why a properly planned and conducted safety meeting is a solid investment in both your employees and company. Various types of safety meetings—from a formal class and all-hands safety meeting to a short daily or weekly “toolbox” safety talk—will be addressed in this workshop. Learn how to select topics, organize the meeting agenda, and effectively present your material. Also discussed will be how to use visual aids and humor to help your audience understand the key points and remember how to apply them in their daily work. When a safety meeting is properly planned and conducted the investment in employee training will provide long-term dividends for the company.
