Learn how the actions of CARB—the California Air Resources Board—may affect you, regardless of where you are located. The State of California has moved forward with three different registration programs that require all on-road, off-road, and portable engines to be located in these programs, the goal of which is to reduce diesel emissions by 2019. While there is currently no federal requirement for such registration, several states sometimes adopt California’s mandates.
