departs MCC Thursday
You will begin with lunch at the famed Commanders Palace, a hidden jewel in the heart of the New Orleans Garden District. Commander’s Palace is truly one of the finest dining experiences in the world. Its setting offers sounds that soothe the soul and sets the mood for an unparalleled culinary adventure. Following lunch, guests will enjoy a short walk around the block to get a flavor for the grandeur of the Garden District, then spend the afternoon with photographer David Wright for a photo workshop in historic Lafayette Cemetery #1, which dates back to 1833. If it looks a bit familiar, it may be that you have seen it in a movie or two. A historic interpreter will also be on hand to provide the unique history behind New Orleans cemeteries.
