2007 Ground Water Summit

Monday, April 30, 2007: 1:00 p.m.-3:15 p.m.
San Miguel (Albuquerque Convention Center)
New Technologies and Techniques for Ground Water Sampling
The session will include presentations by regulators and professionals with experience using newer ground water sampling technologies, including low-flow purge sampling and passive, no-purge, ground water sampling. Low-flow and passive sampling have gained acceptance through use and guidance from the U.S. EPA and the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council. This session will focus on the efficacy and cost savings of sampling without purging or with reduced purging. Site- specific examples will be used to illustrate the utility and limitations of low-flow and passive sampling, and will include comparisons to more traditional sampling methods.
