Ground Water Modeling: Past, Present, and Future—a Session in Memory of Thomas a. Prickett
Thomas A. Prickett (1935-2007), NGWREF Darcy Lecturer (1988), winner of NGWA's M.K. Hubbert (1977) and Life Member (1989) awards, and AGWSE's Keith E. Anderson Award (1999), was a leader in the field of applied ground water flow and transport modeling. As well as being a successful consultant, he was a prolific researcher with more than 120 publications, including his 1963 paper on electric analog modeling that was selected as one of the "Benchmark papers in geology." This session, dedicated to the memory of Prickett, invites papers on unexploited opportunities in hydrogeological research. We especially invite papers that identify opportunities for research, examples of transferring theory to practice, and case studies of innovative applications of both field methods and models.
