Groundwater Economics (#214)

Thursday, May 5, 2011: 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
The many and extensive uses of groundwater have caused it to be scarce in some locations and a sink for pollutants in other places. The costs and benefits of the services of groundwater have driven its use. This short course will examine the costs and benefits of our uses of groundwater, provide an overview of economic frameworks to evaluate the costs and benefits, develop examples through a range of methods, and provide participants with capabilities to initiate economic evaluations of their groundwater projects.
