2012 NGWA Ground Water Summit: Innovate and Integrate

K-12 to College Grad-How the Groundwater Industry Will Attract the Next Generation

Wednesday, May 9, 2012: 2:10 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
Royal Ballroom E (Hyatt Regency Orange County)
The groundwater industry is challenged as to how it will attract and nurture future generations of groundwater scientists and engineers. How can the industry encourage interest in science, and specifically in hydrology and hydrogeology, beginning in the early childhood years? This session welcomes abstracts on efforts individuals and companies have made to foster geoscience education in grades K-12 on a local, state, or national level, as well as attracting those early in their college years. Strategies on how the individuals can be more engaged in promoting the study of groundwater and employment opportunities are encouraged.
