Groundwater age dating using environmental tracers has become an important tool in understanding the evolution of groundwater systems. One area that groundwater age dating has received increasing attention is in sustainability assessments of vital and/or heavily utilized aquifers. This session will highlight recent advances and practical applications of determining groundwater age, and build an understanding of how groundwater age determinations can improve resource management strategies.
