Social media refers to the means of interactions among people in which they create, share, and exchange information and ideas in virtual communities and networks. Social media has rapidly become a important outlet for water information. Government agencies, nonprofits organizations, businesses and individuals are readily employing social media to communicate a wide array of water information. This session will look at some examples of how water information is being disseminated through social media.
