Fathi Ali Swaid obtained an M.Sc. (1998) in Hydrogeology and Groundwater Management from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia and a Ph.D. (2008) in Geophysics from the same. He is director of Research and Engineering Consultants, Man-made River Water Utilization Authority, Middle Region.
