Geo Verde Consult
Festus Anane Mensah, from Ghana, is a research scientist and senior member in Ghana’s Council for Scientific and Industrial Research Building and Road Research Institute, Geotechnical Engineering Division, and CEO/founder of Geo Verde Consult. His areas of research and consultancy include geological systems, groundwater flow modeling, and water resources management. He’s conducted research into water and related resources resulting in the generation and provision of scientific information, and strategies and services toward the development, utilization, and management of the water resources of Ghana for the socioeconomic development of the country.
Mensah’s cultural background and focus on research into humanitarian, geotechnical, environmental, and water quality issues have led him to a number of volunteer opportunities and community leadership roles. He is a member of the Ghana Institute of Engineers, Society of Petroleum Engineers, and Society of Exploration Geophysics, and a ASCE-EWRI Fellow and NAM S&T Fellow. Mensah holds a B.S. in geological engineering from the Western University College of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Tarkwa-Ghana (now the University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa-Ghana) and an M.S. in geology (petroleum geoscience) from the University of Ghana, Legon-Accra, Ghana.
