Ground Water and Competing Water Rights within Watersheds - Topical Session, 2.0 CEPs
There are frequently challenges within a watershed to water rights because surface water and ground water watersheds commonly do not coincide. Presentations address the differences between surface water and ground water watersheds, the interactions of surface water and ground water when their unique watersheds do overlap, and the competition between overlapping and stand-alone watersheds. Variations of water rights law throughout the nation are discussed.
