Jack Carmichael is the groundwater specialist for the Tennessee Water Science Center, U.S. Geological Survey. He has been with the USGS for more than 25 years in the Memphis and Nashville offices. He is also a registered geologist and is the USGS project chief for the ongoing groundwater investigations of the Memphis aquifer in the Memphis area.
