Selection and Operation for Safe and Successful Electrical Troubleshooting

Presented on Tuesday, December 15, 2015

This session will discuss troubleshooting electric driven pumps, beginning with a refresher of basic electric circuits. The presentation will identify the appropriate meter (and meter characteristics) to select for different applications in the troubleshooting of electric driven pumps, which is especially required with today’s expanding use of solid state controls and drives. The session will identify basic troubleshooting sequencing and safe meter use that will minimize harm to the user and the risk of damage to equipment. The audience will be surveyed and tested throughout this state of the art presentation. This is the first of three planned topics undertaken by the NGWREF through the sponsorship of Franklin Electric to enhance the continuing education of contractors.
