All too often, the toughest part of the job is collecting what is owed. As a service provider, what steps should you take to collect payment from the time you estimate and bid a specific job, performing the actual work, and presenting the final invoice? This workshop will walk you through the steps you should take in each phase of the job or project. It will also delve into the subject of liens and what steps you should take securing your mechanics lien rights.

Michael Kimmel, a shareholder in the firm of Hoy Chrissinger Kimmel Vallas, P.C., represents a variety of local and international developers, contractors, subcontractors and design professionals. He has litigated a variety of construction cases in Nevada and California state courts, also represents clients before municipal governments and state regulatory agencies, and assists BANN in the drafting of new legislation. Michael is Martindale "AV" rated, and he received the Lorman Distinguished Faculty Award. He has served on the Board of the Nevada State Bar's Construction Law Section since 2011, acting as its President in both 2014 and 2015.
