Dr. “Regu” P. Regunathan has been part of the Water Treatment industry for over 48 years. He has served as Vice President of R&D and Operations and later as President of a leading company, Everpure, Inc., a subsidiary of Culligan International. He then was appointed as Senior VP of Science & Technology of Culligan Water Technologies and later US Filter Consumer Group. He currently owns a company providing consulting services to different companies and organizations including Water Quality Association (WQA). Dr Regunathan received his basic Civil and Public Health engineering educational degrees from University of Madras in India during the early sixties. He obtained his postgraduate educational degrees from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa. Dr. Regunathan has participated in the development of all DWTU Standards by NSF International and continues to be active in this ongoing effort. He has taken active roles in several WQRF, USEPA, and AWWARF sponsored research activities over the last 46 years. He served as a WQA appointed representative in the EPA’s Gulf Research Study committee and in the Microbiological Protocol development task force. He also served as a member of the USEPA’s NDWAC from 2004 to 2007. He was recently honored by WQA with a Lifetime Member Award recognizing his years of contribution to the water treatment industry.
