Former software executive Douglass Pushard has been a dedicated practitioner and educator in the areas of water conservation and rainwater harvesting for over fifteen years. He is the founder and co-editor of HarvestH2o.com, the leading Web site that connects the public to helpful information about rainwater catchment and sustainable water practices. His articles have been published in national and international publications. He designed and installed systems for individuals, businesses and nonprofit organizations throughout the southwest. He is a co-inventor of the Water Efficiency Rating Score (WERS), a brand new approach to measuring water efficiency in homes and soon multi-family buildings.
