Dwight Hanson has a MS Ag and Biological Systems Engineering from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. For the last 17 years, H2Optimal, Inc. has been Hansons’ consulting business requiring global travel for work with NGO’s and for-profit businesses alike. His reputation for giving expertise and support to global communities extends to his Engineering Without Borders volunteer work as a founding member of the Nebraska Professional chapter. He has created networks of cooperation between the Professional EWB and the Student EWB chapters, has been the professional lead on trips to Uganda over 9 years. Dwight is a master teacher, creating with international partners solutions to common problems with water and sanitation. He is a global problem solver when it comes to water wells, rainwater collection and other biological systems with water, waste and agriculture. He grew up in a well drilling family and drilled domestic, irrigation, and monitoring wells. Overseas experience has provided the opportunity to learn and use Resistivity and Electro-Magnetic survey techniques.
