Thursday, December 7, 2017: 10:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
Activity Area A- Exhibit Hall (Music City Center)
A demonstration of the Aquiworx software will be held. Aquiworx is a surface- and groundwater monitoring and assessment application that features a GIS front-end and utilizes Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access files as database. The software is standalone and no 3rd party GIS or Microsoft Office installation is required. Aquiworx is a collaboration between the Centre for Water Sciences and Management at the North-West University (South Africa) and the South African Government.  Monitoring data can be displayed in various graphical formats and chemical plots e.g. Piper diagrams are also supported. The freeware software is maintained by the Centre for Water Sciences and Management. In addition to the monitoring features the software also includes an analytical well field model and an aquifer yield model to assist in well field design.
