University of Nevada Las Vegas
Soroosh Mortazavian is a senior PhD student researcher at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in Energy and Environmental Materials Laboratory (EEML). Her major research focuses on synthesis, characterization, and application of hybrid materials for removal of hazardous aqueous contaminants from industrial wastewater and groundwater. Specifically, she investigates approaches to optimize synthesis conditions of advanced materials through examining their morphological and chemical characteristics using various materials analysis tools, along with evaluating the effects of these factors on the materials’ efficiency for contaminants removal. She obtained her M.Sc. degree in Environmental Engineering on 2013, and B.Sc. in Civil Engineering on 2010.
