Mud Rotary Drilling (#857)

Learn about the advantages — and disadvantages — of mud rotary drilling during this hour-long online presentation.

As with other drilling methods, mud rotary well construction is better suited to some geologic formations and projects than others.

In addition to its advantages and disadvantages, proper selection of support equipment will be discussed, as well as proper setup and teardown procedures.

Those new to the industry and those in need of a refresher will benefit from this presentation.

Roger E. Renner, MGWC, is president of E.H. Renner & Sons Inc. He is the fourth of five generations of this family-owned business located in Elk River, Minnesota. Aside from the overall operation of this business, he is specifically responsible for the municipal, large well sealing, and monitoring markets. Renner is a 37-year member of NGWA.
