Cost-Effective Tools for Investigations and Remedial Applications: Direct-Push Technology

Thursday, December 10, 2009: 2:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
220 (Morial Convention Center)
Find out how direct-push technology (DPT) can help you work more effectively and efficiently in this workshop that discusses cone penetrometer testing (CPT), Geoprobe®, soil and groundwater samplers including HydroPunch®, laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) including the rapid optical screening tool (ROST), and membrane interface probe (MIP) equipment, operations, measurements, sampling, calibration, and interpretation of data. Examples from investigations and remedial design using DPT will demonstrate the applicability of these methods. You will have access to a workshop handout that documents field procedures used to optimize the performance of DPT including selected slides, calibrations, and data reporting, and operational constraints. You are encouraged to bring you own DPT data on which you have questions to discuss with the instructors and fellow workshop attendees.
