2012 NGWA Ground Water Summit: Innovate and Integrate

Groundwater and Natural and Anthropogenic Geologic Hazards

Wednesday, May 9, 2012: 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
Terrace Room D-F (Hyatt Regency Orange County)
Groundwater plays a role in many geologic processes related to natural and anthropogenic hazards. This session explores the physical and (or) chemical interaction of groundwater with host rocks and soils related to these geologic processes. The hazards will include but not be limited to earthquakes, landslides, land subsidence, and volcanism. Observational and interpretive studies that further the understanding of processes related to the initiation, evolution, or mitigation of the hazards will be featured.
